  • Discuss ACPE Standards for Experiential Education and how to meet them
  • Discuss information on key resources for experiential education administrators
  • Describe relevant operational and budgeting procedures
  • Discuss preceptor development
  • Discuss experiential learning assessment

Track #2: Development of Scholarship in Experiential Education

  • Identify doable ideas for experiential education research projects and other forms of scholarship
  • Develop a conceptual framework for an educational research project or other form of scholarship.
  • Conduct a comprehensive literature search in educational science related to a specific research project
  • Apply tips for success in accomplishing scholarship
  • Apply principles of ethics related to authorship of scholarly works
  • Negotiate authorship
  • Develop a plan for scholarship success including establishing a timeline, identifying mentors, and creating time for conducting research and writing
