CAPE Educational Outcomes

An initiative of the Center for the Advancement of Pharmaceutical Education (CAPE), the CAPE Educational Outcomes are intended to be the target toward which the evolving pharmacy curriculum should be aimed. Their development was guided by a consultant and an advisory panel composed of educators and practitioners nominated for participation by practitioner organizations.

2004 CAPE Supplemental Educational Outcomes

The 2005-06 AACP Educational Outcomes and Objectives Supplement Development Task Force was charged to complete the development of specific educational objectives organized by content and/or discipline, which are consistent with the 2004 CAPE Educational Outcomes framework, and that integrate general abilities (e.g., thinking, communication, ethics, social and contextual awareness, social responsibility, social interaction, professionalism, life-long learning) into professional contexts. These Supplements are intended to serve as an additional resource for faculty in developing and assessing curricula, courses and learning experiences directed toward achieving the 2004 CAPE Educational Outcomes. Following the work of the Task Force, all Supplements were reviewed by the respective elected Chair and Chair-elect of the AACP Sections.
