Each member of AACP has the responsibility to help move AACP’s policy agenda. Advocacy is an active endeavor and involves a number of activities. Some of the actions in which an active AACP member can engage are listed on this page.
AACP members participate in direct grassroots advocacy through the Legislative Action Center. Advocacy, like education, requires some demonstration of the activities that you seek support of through attending a meeting with your member of Congress in one of two ways:
Consider scheduling a Congressional Visit for yourself or on your campus this year.
Often a simple list, prepared by peers, helps frame the concept of Active Advocacy.
