The Pharmacy Directors of Development SIG was formed in 2003 with development officers from the various member colleges and schools of pharmacy as well as those from affiliate schools. The SIG provides speakers and information on best practices, strategies and information on all aspects of major gift solicitation. Meetings are coordinated with AACP meetings and with informal meetings at other association's annual meetings.
To provide support, continuing education and networking opportunities to development officers at colleges and schools of pharmacy. By increasing awareness and knowledge of development strategies and programs, the group will serve as a resource to pharmacy development directors, deans and faculty, and increase private contributions to pharmacy education nationwide.
