AACP Recognizes the 2017 Master Preceptors

AACP has recognized seven individuals as master preceptors PDF  for their dedication and commitment to excellence in experiential education and professional practice. The fourth cohort of the AACP Master Preceptor recognition program receive an honorarium, certificate of recognition and more.


Join AACP President Joe DiPiro as part of an academic pharmacy delegation to Cuba, departing Miami, Oct. 23–28. This delegation will be developed in cooperation with the Cuban Ministry of Public Health and offers a unique opportunity to meet directly with Cuban counterparts to learn about the challenges and advances of medicine in Cuba. Delegates will participate in professional meetings and site visits each day based on the interests and composition of the team. INSIGHT Into Diversity

INSIGHT into Diversity is now accepting applications for its 2017 Health Professions HEED Award, recognizing colleges and universities that demonstrate an outstanding commitment to diversity and inclusion. Applications are due by Saturday, July 1.


Johnson & Johnson

Johnson & Johnson has launched the Advancing the Safe Use of Healthcare Products QuickFire Challenge, seeking to identify academics, scientists, engineers and more who are advancing early stage, innovative solutions to advance safety in healthcare products that help inform patients and consumers, simulate surgical procedures, and ensure proper storage and use of prescription, over-the-counter and cosmetic products. Applications are due Wednesday, May 24.



The National Institutes of Health has announced the availability of online pain management curriculum resources developed through the NIH Pain Consortium’s Centers of Excellence in Pain Education, a collection of health professional schools that develop, evaluate and distribute online training modules to enhance how healthcare professionals are taught about pain and its treatment.



The Pharmacy Quality Alliance-CVS Health Foundation Scholars Program PDF , designed to support and recognize student excellence in demonstration projects centered on quality-related initiatives, is accepting applications PDF  until Thursday, June 15.


TIPed 2017 Institute

Registration is now open for the TIPed 2017 Institute, Transformation and Innovation of Pharmacy Education, June 13–15, at Washington State University Health Sciences, in Spokane. The Institute will focus on challenging the status quo to develop practice-ready graduates to lead tomorrow’s healthcare solutions.
