FINAL REMINDER: ACPE Board of Directors Candidates Due Sept. 3

The AACP Board of Directors is seeking candidates for service on the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE) Board of Directors. Candidates should submit a single PDF of the requested materials to AACP no later than close of business Tuesday, Sept. 3. View the complete call for candidates by visiting the AACP Web site.

Join the Global Tweet-a-Thon in October

AACP and other pharmacy organizations are coordinating a global pharmacy tweet-a-thon on Thursday, Oct. 3. Use the hashtag #Pharmacist and tweet about what pharmacists are doing to help patients, other health professionals and the community. More information will be available in future AACP E-lerts.

Don’t Forget: Submit Annual Meeting Continuing Education Credits

Annual Meeting attendees can access the Learning Management System until Wednesday, Sept. 18, to submit their Continuing Education credits. Presenters announced the Event Code at the conclusion of their presentations during the meeting. For log-in instructions, please refer to the AACP Official Program Guide handed out at the meeting. If you have questions regarding your CE from the conference, please contact the VCU School of Pharmacy at 804-828-3003.

ACPE
The Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education is holding a Continuing Professional Development Pre-Conference on Oct. 1, prior to the Continuing Pharmacy Education Conference, Oct. 2–4, in Minneapolis. The CPD pre-conference will provide an opportunity for interested faculty to discuss advancing pharmacy practice through professional development. ASHP
The American Society of Health-System Pharmacists has announced three research grant opportunities: a PPMI demonstration grant, a new investigator research grant and a pharmacy residency practice-based research grant. For more information, contact foundation@ashp.org.
