The Distinguished Teaching Scholar Award recognizes pharmacy faculty who are exemplary in the areas of scholarly teaching and the scholarship of teaching and learning. The deadline is 11:59 p.m. PT on Wednesday, Dec. 14.
Application materials for the Master Preceptor Recognition Program, which recognizes preceptors’ sustained commitment to excellence in experiential education and professional practice, must be submitted to AACP by Friday, Jan. 13, 2017, at 5:00 p.m. ET.
The Council of Sections is now accepting educational and scientific research poster abstracts for Pharmacy Education 2017, July 15–19 in Nashville, Tenn. All abstracts must be submitted by 11:59 p.m. PST on Feb. 15, 2017. The username and password for the programming submission site is the same as your AACP username and password. You may only submit up to two (2) abstracts for review. Contact Kirsten Block with any questions.
The Award for Excellence in Assessment highlights outstanding Doctor of Pharmacy assessment programs for their progress in developing and applying evidence of outcomes as part of the ongoing evaluation and improvement of pharmacy professional education. New in 2017, a simplified application process sees manuscripts prepared using the IDEAs format similar to a submission to the American Journal of Pharmaceutical Education, giving authors a head-start on a publication. Review the proposal guidelines and updated evaluation criteria here. Please note that while submitting for the Award for Excellence in Assessment does not guarantee publication in AJPE, authors are strongly encouraged to submit their manuscripts to the peer review process. Submissions are due Wednesday, March 8, 2017.
American Society of Health-System Pharmacists is now accepting proposals for educational sessions for the 2017 National Pharmacy Preceptors Conference. The deadline for submitting a proposal is Sunday, Jan. 15.

The Pharmacy Quality Alliance is requesting applications to serve a three-year term on the Quality Metrics Expert Panel.
