AACP Recognizes Excellence in Assessment, Innovative Teaching, Scholarly Teaching

Recipients of the 2017 Award for Excellence in Assessment, Innovations in Teaching Competition and Emerging Teaching Scholars Award have been announced. Recipients for each will be recognized at Pharmacy Education 2017, July 15–19, in Nashville.

Funded Investigators on the Rise: New Pharmacy Faculty Research Grant Data (FRGD)

The number of schools reporting extramural research funding rose to 113 in FY2016, up from 110 in FY2015, and FY2016 also saw its largest number of funded investigators in the past five fiscal years. Join AACP President Joe DiPiro as part of an academic pharmacy delegation to Cuba, departing Miami, Oct. 23–28. This delegation will be developed in cooperation with the Cuban Ministry of Public Health and offers a unique opportunity to meet directly with Cuban counterparts to learn about the challenges and advances of medicine in Cuba. Delegates will participate in professional meetings and site visits each day based on the interests and composition of the team.
