Call for ACPE Board of Directors CandidatesThe AACP Board of Directors is seeking candidates for service on the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE) Board of Directors. A subcommittee of the AACP Board of Directors will make their recommendation to the full AACP Board at the November 2015 meeting. The appointee will observe both the January and June 2016 meetings of ACPE and will begin the six-year term in July 2016. Candidates should submit a single PDF of the requested materials to AACP no later than close of business Wednesday, September 2, 2015. Apply for the New Consultants and Speakers BureauAre you an expert in a specialty area of pharmacy education? Then share your knowledge and talents by applying to be part of AACP’s new Consultants and Speakers Bureau. This new member service connects experienced, talented professionals with organizations, universities and individuals who are searching for experts within academic pharmacy. Applications will be accepted on an ongoing basis, however the deadline for the initial consultants and speakers to be included in the bureau is Saturday, August 15. Join a Special AIMM Collaborative Cohort of AACP-convened TeamsJoin an AACP cohort of teams to help lead a national movement that places academic pharmacy as a strategic partner in promoting medication management services. Schools of pharmacy will collaborate with a community practice site to redefine and transform patient care, reach the next level of coordinated healthcare, and integrate medication management services into interprofessional healthcare teams.
AIMMc provides the infrastructure, resources and expertise to guide and support you through the process. Reduced fees for AACP-participating teams apply, including $1,000 savings per team; you can join the collaborative year for $4,000. The deadline to apply is Tuesday, June 30. This special collaborative kicks off with a live learning session during the AACP Annual Meeting, July 11-15 in National Harbor, Md. Teams that register by Sunday, May 31 are invited to take advantage of prework opportunities with current AIMMc teams during the month of June. Registration Now Open for the Fall IPEC InstituteThe next Faculty Development Institute, focused on Interprofessional Education: Building a Framework for Collaboration, will be held October 7-9, at the Dulles Hyatt in Herndon, Va. Faculty teams are invited to come together for a guided learning experience, team-based planning activities, and dedicated time to create actionable plans for implementing projects that advance interprofessional curricula, clinical training and population health experiences, and student assessment.
