Call for ASHP COC Candidates

AACP is seeking candidates for a three-year term of service on the ASHP Commission on Credentialing (COC). The ASHP COC is responsible for the accreditation of pharmacy residency and technician training programs. This appointment has become available due to the current AACP appointee’s election to the ASHP Board of Directors. Candidates should submit both a hard copy and PDF versions of the requested materials to AACP no later than Friday, Oct. 18, at 11:59 p.m. EDT. SYF Medication Adherence Team Challenge Informational Calls

Informational calls for the Script Your Future Medication Adherence Team Challenge in February will be held on Wednesday, Oct. 2, at 3:00 p.m. EDT and on Tuesday, Oct. 8, at 11:00 a.m. EDT. Sign up for the calls on the SYF Web site. Interprofessional teams from schools of pharmacy, medicine, nursing and other health professions are invited to participate in this year’s Challenge to engage with their communities in a dialogue about the importance of taking medications as directed for improved health. A new award category has been added for the effective use of media to further outreach. Challenge organizers will provide additional resources to increase your success during the Challenge month.

Join AACP for Coffee and Cordials at the ACCP Annual Meeting

AACP is hosting an evening of coffee and cordials to celebrate academic pharmacy at the ACCP Annual Meeting, on Monday, Oct. 14, from 9:00 p.m.–10:30 p.m. MDT. Students, faculty and those interested in academic positions are welcome to attend. RSVP is appreciated, but not required, to Katie Owings.

Annual Meeting Learning Lounge Videos Now Available on YouTube

Videos from the Learning Lounge at the 2013 Annual Meeting in Chicago are now available on the AACP YouTube Channel. These short, member-generated videos contain content on everything from how to best engage online learners to how to better integrate part-time faculty into your institution.

Don’t Forget: Submit Annual Meeting Continuing Education Credits

Annual Meeting attendees can access the Learning Management System until Wednesday, Sept. 18, to submit their Continuing Education credits. For log-in instructions, please refer to the AACP Official Program Guide handed out at the meeting.
