IPEC has announced a new initiative to provide deans and other senior academic administrators across the health professions with a professional development opportunity.. The Interprofessional Deans Leadership Program (IDLP) will be held Nov. 29–Dec. 1 at the AAMC Learning Center in Washington, D.C. Facilitated by faculty from the Academy for Academic Leadership (AAL), the IDLP is a three-day, interactive professional development experience is customized to the needs of senior academic leaders with three or fewer years of experience from IPEC member associations’ schools.

Connect with Colleagues Before Annual Meeting: AACP Connect is a new online, private community exclusively for members to communicate and collaborate with each other in a virtual home. Network with peers, browse extensive resources and more leading up to the AACP Annual Meeting in Nashville.
The AACP Board of Directors is seeking candidates to serve on the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education Board of Directors. A subcommittee of the AACP Board of Directors will make their recommendation to the full AACP Board at the November 2017 meeting. The appointee will observe both the January and June 2018 ACPE meetings and will begin the six-year term in July 2018. Candidates should submit a single PDF of the requested materials to AACP no later than close of business Wednesday, Sept. 6.
Belmont University College of Pharmacy will host NACDS’ Community Pharmacy-Based Point-of-Care Testing Certificate Program, Friday, July 14, in Nashville. A Train-the-Trainer session will be offered on Saturday, July 15. Registration is now open.
The National Council on Patient Information and Education’s new Web site is designed to better inform consumers about the prescription and over-the-counter medicines they take, and empower them to proactively ask questions of their healthcare professionals. The site consolidates information from across NCPIE's health education campaigns into one core site full of actionable tips, checklists and toolkits; and focuses on promoting responsible medication management and adherence improvement.
