Get to know the candidates, learn about their professional background, and read statements by the president-elect nominees in the 2016 AACP Election Guide. Please take a moment to review your member profile and confirm membership to Councils and Sections to ensure your ballot will be accurate.
On Oct. 3, you’ll receive an e-mail directing you to the virtual polling place. Use your AACP web site username and password to log in. Polls open Oct. 3 and close Oct. 31, at 11:59 p.m. ET.
The Master Preceptor Recognition Program recognizes preceptors, who are not full-time employees of a school or college of pharmacy, for their sustained commitment to excellence in experiential education and professional practice. Application materials must be submitted to AACP by Friday, Jan. 13, 2017, at 5:00 p.m. ET.

The American Society of Health-System Pharmacists is seeking nominations for a 2017 AACP appointment to its Commission on Credentialing. The COC is responsible for the accreditation of pharmacy residency programs. Information regarding the appointment criteria and application, selection process, and responsibilities are included in the call document. Application materials are due by 11:59 p.m. EDT, on Friday, Oct. 7.
Health Professions Week, Sept. 26–30, is a free week of events to help students learn about 19 health professions, including pharmacy. Explore and ask questions: What is it like to be a healthcare practitioner? What are the hours and demands? How is one profession different from another? What education do I need? How do I get there?

The Alliance for Safe Online Pharmacies has provided a free, one-hour online continuing education program for pharmacists and physicians to assist in combating illegal online drug sales. Access is available through the CE Medicus site.
