For nearly 10 years, the Lawrence C. Weaver Transformative Community Service Award has recognized innovative, outcomes-driven patient care services that schools are performing in underserved communities locally and beyond. Applications are due Wednesday, Sept. 13 at 11:59 PT.
AACP is seeking proposals for an innovative new component to 2018 INterim Meeting programming. Topics for 10-minute microsessions include building the applicant pipeline; building a brand for the profession of pharmacy; and, inspirational leadership. Presenters will provide a brief, 5-7 minute overview of their programs on a particular topic, followed by a 3–5 minute Q&A. Submissions will open in late September.

The 18th AACP NMA Conference: Self-Care on the Horizon is a chance for faculty at all stages of their careers to learn from and network with pharmacy colleagues teaching self-care and nonprescription medications throughout the country. Interested must submit an application along with an abstract/poster proposal through the application portal. The AACP NMA Conference will require institutional support for faculty to attend as costs associated with the meeting will be the responsibility of the conference participants. Applications are due Monday, Sept. 18.

The application deadline for the Interprofessional Education Collaborative’s inaugural Interprofessional Deans Leadership Program has been extended to Friday, Sept. 15. The three-day program provides senior academic administrators with professional enrichment activities to become better leaders of faculty and staff, and more effective managers of their home institutions.
