Cynthia B. Jones

Cynthia B. Jones, Ph.D., received her Bachelor of Science in biology with a minor in chemistry and Ph.D. in pharmaceutical sciences with a concentration in biopharmaceutics from Florida Agricultural & Mechanical University (FAMU) in 2004 and 2012, respectively. After receiving her Ph.D., she held the position of visiting assistant professor of biology at FAMU from 2012–2014, where she taught general biology courses to science and non-science majors. She joined the faculty at Marshall University as an assistant professor of biopharmaceutics in 2015.

Dr. Jones teaches Biopharmaceutics II, where she serves as the course coordinator. She also teaches as part of a team for Integrated Lab II, a course for second year doctor of pharmacy students. Dr. Jones’ research interest is in metabolic disorders that lead to obesity and Type 2 Diabetes. Specifically, her focus is on the dietary effects on adipokine expression and secretion from adipose tissue as it relates to insulin resistance.

Dr. Devine’s teaching and scholarly interests are in the areas of rural health, global health and experiential education. She has published and presented on these topics both regionally and nationally.





Anita T. Mosley

Feik School of Pharmacy 
University of the Incarnate Word

Anita T. Mosley, Ph.D., is an associate professor at the Feik School of Pharmacy at the University of the Incarnate Word in San Antonio, Tex. She graduated from Alabama State University with a B.S. in chemistry, obtained her Ph.D. in industrial and physical pharmacy from Purdue University, and Pharm.D. from Creighton University. She teaches pharmaceutics and basic pharmacokinetics within the Pharm.D. curriculum. Her research interests include nanoparticles for drug delivery, enhancing solubility, contemporary compounding, and improving teaching and learning.

Dr. Mosley has a history of involvement within the Teachers of Pharmaceutics Section of AACP. She has served the section in various capacities including reviewing grant proposals for the New Investigator Awards program, reviewing abstracts for annual meetings, and serving on the Programming and Strategic Planning Committees.
