Invigorate 2022 Microsessions

AACP Article

Sharing Successful Strategies and Engaging Audiences

Packing information and insight into 10-minute segments, microsessions are an innovative way for meeting attendees to engage on different strategies and tactics that address important issues.

This shorter format provides an opportunity for participants to hear multiple approaches and success stories. Presenters will provide a brief, 5-7 minute overview of their programs related to a specific topic, followed by a 3-5 minute Q&A. Presenters may use PowerPoint—but no more than 5 slides, emphasizing visuals rather than text. Meeting attendees can choose to hear all the presentations on a particular topic or visit a different room to participate in discussions about the other topics.

We are seeking proposals for microsessions for the INvigorate 2022 meeting in San Diego, Calif. The topics for this meeting are:

  • Curricular innovation: Presentations under this topic may include new topics, delivery methods or evaluation of student pharmacists. To avoid overlap with the digital health and technology topic, please limit the curricular innovations submitted to those that are not technology-related.
  • Managing an effective curriculum: Presentations in this topic could include running an effective curriculum committee, removing content to make space for newer content, strategies to address curricular hoarding, etc.
  • Digital health and technology in the curriculum: Presentations in this area could include how digital health and technology are incorporated into the curriculum, assessment of these areas in the curriculum, or technology changes that will endure in the curriculum post-COVID.

Proposals should be submitted in the form of a 250-word abstract. Abstracts should include title, objective, methods, results, discussion and conclusion.

Submissions will be accepted until December 6, 2021 (11:59 p.m. Pacific time).
