Teaching interprofessionally: practical application for educating other healthcare professionals

As pharmacists, we interact with many different health care disciplines. But pharmacists rarely get much of an education on how to teach pharmacy students and often teach based upon experience, but we receive even less preparation in educating other disciplines. How do we teach medical students? Nursing students? Social work students? This session will provide a practical approach to educating other health care discipline students that clinicians can easily implement into their practice.

  1. Explore multiple approaches to teaching various health professional learners
  2. Compare and contrast key differences in teaching to other health professionals
