The Culturally Competent Pharmacist, A Key to Patient-Centered Care

This webinar will explore the aspects of cultural diversity and highlight the importance of cultural competence as a pharmacist. The session will review how to implement cross-cultural communication effectively to promote patient care, health outcomes, and how to anticipate barriers. 


  1. Evaluate the value and challenges in working with diverse patient populations.
  2. Analyze cultural diversity and demonstrate skills to be a culturally competent pharmacist.
  3. Identify barriers to effective cross-cultural communication in the healthcare setting.
  4. Discuss strategies to improve cross-cultural communication in order to improve health outcomes and patient-centered care.
