Updated American Geriatrics Society Beers Criteria

The webinar will feature a review of the American Geriatrics Society (AGS) Beers Criteria updates which were published in draft form in 2018. The AGS updates the criteria every three years and this document/guidance is a primary tool utilized by clinicians to manage the use of potentially inappropriate medications in older adults. 

Objectives:

  1. Describe changes made to the American Geriatrics Society Beers Criteria in 2018. 
  2. Discuss practical implications of the updates in the clinical setting.
  3. Review strategies for converting patients from potentially inappropriate medications to preferred agents.
