How do I search for a consultant or speaker?

Using the search page, you can choose to limit your search to a speaker or a consultant, or you can search for both. You are also able to narrow your search by area of expertise, geographical area, or name to identify those experts who best match your criteria.

What focus or specialty content areas are needed for the Consultants and Speakers Bureau?

Members who have expertise in all specialty areas are encouraged to apply. This service aims to meet the needs of members who are looking for a speaker or consultant in all areas of pharmacy education, including Administration, Clinical/Pharmacy Practice, Instruction/Teaching, Biomedical Science, and Social Administrative Sciences. Applicants will have a menu of specialty areas to choose from or can input their specific expertise areas.

What is included in the application?

Applications include the following information:

A narrative (two-page maximum) that includes a description of why the applicant is committed to providing service as a speaker or consultant and a description of the applicant’s expertise and passion; current curriculum vitae (CV); and three (3) references for the candidate as a speaker and/or consultant.

When are applications reviewed?

Applications will be reviewed on a monthly basis.

What is the review process?

Submissions will be reviewed for completeness. Once all requested materials have been submitted and reviewed, the applicant will be notified of their inclusion in the Consultants and Speakers Bureau.

AACP members who submit information to the Consultant/Speakers Bureau regarding their availability as consultants and/or speakers should only do so with the clear understanding and agreement that:

  • AACP will not be endorsing their services;
  • AACP will make their availability as a consultant or speaker known only to AACP members;
  • AACP will not guarantee that their services will ever be subject to inquiry by or contract with other AACP members; and AACP shall not be involved in any contractual negotiations between members and their potential consultants or speakers.
