How to Join

Dean's Statement of Commitment

If your college/school of pharmacy wants to be a part of the movement or update your institution's information, have your designated Primary ACT Champion complete the steps below to state your college/school of pharmacy's commitment. All institutions can now identify multiple ACT Champions with different designations in addition to the Primary ACT Champion to collectively be a part of the Collaborative’s work to unite, mobilize and amplify transformation efforts.  

Commit to the ACT Pharmacy Collaborative by Dec. 31, 2025

  • Step 1: Download this PDF form and request your Dean's signature.
  • Step 2: Upload the completed form and submit information about the designated ACT Champions to the ACT Commitment Form here.
  • Step 3: Share your excitement with us on social media using #ACTforPharmacy!
  • The Primary ACT Champion will recruit additional ACT Champion(s) (faculty/staff members) and select their designation(s) based on their role(s) at the institution. The ACT Champion(s) (including the Primary ACT Champion) may select as many designations as applicable.

ACT Champion Designations

The Primary ACT Champion will recruit additional ACT Champion(s) (faculty/staff members) and select their designation(s) based on their role(s) at the institution. The ACT Champion(s) (including the Primary ACT Champion) may select as many designations as applicable.

  • Administration: Serves as CEO Dean, Assistant/Associate Dean, or Department Chair at the College/School of Pharmacy, and supports community pharmacy practice, research/scholarship, and service initiatives to advance community pharmacy practice.  
  • Classroom Teacher: Teaches aspects of community pharmacy practice transformation such as business models, value-based care, medical billing, pharmacist patient care process, and more in the didactic curriculum. Teaches skills-based lab courses by modeling patient care services, incorporating community pharmacy practice scenarios, and training students in service delivery and communication skills.
  • Preceptor: Serves as a preceptor in community pharmacy practice sites, mentors students in real-world patient care activities, and provides feedback to support continuous professional development and learning.
  • Experiential Education Director: Leads experiential education at the college/school of pharmacy, including community pharmacy training sites and preceptors.
  • Postgraduate Training Program Director: Oversees postgraduate training programs, including community pharmacy residencies and fellowships.
  • Research and Scholarship: Drives community pharmacy research and scholarship by fostering practice-based research, generating evidence to support community pharmacy transformation, and promoting dissemination of findings.

Whether you're just getting started or looking for new ways to stay involved, the ACT Pharmacy Collaborative offers a variety of opportunities to connect, contribute, and lead based on your interests, availability, and role. This roadmap outlines examples of how you can engage at different levels throughout the year. There’s no formal designation or reporting required, just possibilities for you to explore!

Jump In and Participate 
Looking to contribute occasionally when time allows? These opportunities let you participate without a long-term commitment:

Take the Lead 
Ready to help shape the future of the Collaborative? We welcome those passionate about community-based pharmacy transformation to take on leadership roles:

  • Serve on the ACT Task Force

  • Represent ACT in external settings or collaborative partnerships

The Primary ACT Champion is encouraged to participate in these activities:  

Engagement in ACT Activities:

  • Attend the monthly ACT Pharmacy Collaborative ACTion Hour webinars to connect with practice leaders and find opportunities for collaboration | Register now to access the ACTion Hour Webinar Series AY25-26.
  • Participate in ACT initiatives/activities/challenges, or serve as a member of an affinity group, or committee annually.

Community Pharmacy Collaboration:

  • Actively support practice transformation of community pharmacy practice (medical billing, implementation of services, and more).
  • Serve as a resource to faculty, staff, students and community partners in understanding and supporting the transformation of community pharmacy practice.
  • Support student engagement in community-based pharmacy transformation activities (e.g., research, service-learning, or innovation project). 

Institutional Commitment:

  • Provide an annual update on ACT-related activities to the Dean.
  • Ensure the ACT Curricular Framework is actively integrated into community pharmacy education at their institution.
  • Collaborate with the ACT Champions at your institution (if applicable) to educate, engage, and amplify the work of the Collaborative with faculty, staff, students, and beyond.
  • Recruit or support the development of additional ACT faculty/staff team members, as needed.
