Arlington, Va. —  The American Journal of Pharmaceutical Education, AACP’s flagship journal, is proud to announce Dr. Kristin Janke as its next Editor-in-Chief, beginning January 1, 2026.

As editor, Dr. Janke will drive the strategic vision of the Journal, explore emerging areas that shape the future of the profession, and champion cutting-edge research in pharmaceutical education. She will engage with associate editors, authors, reviewers, and AACP staff to ensure the Journal reflects current trends and meets the needs of its members, while guiding the Journal into its next phase of growth and global impact.

Dr. Janke is a Professor in the Department of Pharmaceutical Care & Health Systems at the University of Minnesota College of Pharmacy and also serves as Associate Dean for Assessment, Quality and Educational Development. Since 2014, she has supported emerging scholars through her role as Director of the Wulling Center for Innovation & Scholarship in Pharmacy Education.

Dr. Janke has over 25 years of experience in various editorial roles at a number of journals, including AJPE. She is also the coordinator for the #RxWritingChallenge, which provides support for 1,900 pharmacy writers from 51 countries as they participate in two-14 day writing challenges per year. AACP extends its sincere thanks to Dr. Gayle Brazeau for her exceptional leadership as Editor-in-Chief. After an impressive 20-year tenure and more than a decade of dedicated leadership, she will step down at the end of 2025. Under her guidance, the Journal has flourished, reaching new heights in scholarly impact, editorial excellence, and global visibility. We are deeply grateful for her years of service and applaud her many accomplishments, including the successful partnership with Elsevier, a global leader in information and analytics
