Guides
Advocacy Guide for Pharmacy Practice and Education
Inspired by Guide for Pharmacy Advocacy, created by the 2022-2023 Council of Deans Community Engagement Task Force, the 2023-2024 Strategic Engagement Committee has developed a guide which offers examples of strategies, resources, and tools that can be used to facilitate advocacy planning advocacy champions and academy members. Based on 2024 Annual Meeting Focus Group conversations and suggestions made by the 2024–2025 SEC Committee, the guide was further modified.
Advocacy Activities Catalog
Designed to showcase a wide range of advocacy-related initiatives led by faculty, staff, and student pharmacists. By organizing abstract submissions around common elements such as focus areas, collaborators, outcomes, and levels of engagement, the tool helps users identify strategies, explore new ideas, and find inspiration for their own advocacy work.
Submit an Advocacy Activity
The AACP Strategic Engagement Committee (SEC) maintains a central database where members from across the academy can search to get assistance in developing new advocacy activities for their institutions. The SEC continues to collect information on institutional advocacy activities, particularly within their home state and those including student pharmacists, using the developed survey instrument. Unique identifiers will be removed from all published information. The SEC requests members not to include personal advocacy practices that are not supported and or provided by their school/college of pharmacy (e.g. participation in a state organization as a member of that organization, not through their school/college).
