Past Campaigns

  • Protecting Access to Pharmacy Education and Federal Loan Programs: On July 1st, 2025, the US Senate passed its version of the reconciliation bill, which still directs sweeping cuts to federal student loan programs, including those relied upon by student pharmacists nationwide. Similar to the House of Representatives' recommendations, this legislation would terminate the Grad PLUS program. Additionally, the Senate has capped federal graduate student loan assistance at $200,000 per borrower and eliminated subsidized loans for future borrowers. If enacted by the US House of Representatives, these changes could severely limit access to pharmacy education and other critical fields.
