Announcing Walmart's continued support for student pharmacists

Arlington, Va.—For the fourth consecutive year, the Walmart Community Pharmacy Scholarship for Pharmacy Students will be awarded to seven outstanding Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree students who show dedication to serving rural or medically underserved communities—areas that often struggle with limited access to healthcare.

Each awardee will receive a single $5,000 scholarship to help offset the cost of their education. The scholarship program highlights students’ leadership, academic excellence, and commitment to underserved patient populations, which can strengthen awardees’ professional resume and open doors to future opportunities in healthcare. In their application, students must demonstrate how they will address health disparities and make a meaningful impact in community pharmacy settings.

Applications are due July 1, 2025. Students must be enrolled in the in the professional curriculum at a U.S. college or school of pharmacy.
