AACP is pleased to announce that the American Foundation for Pharmaceutical Education (AFPE) of will continue its support of the Social and Administrative Sciences (SAS) Section Summer Research Exchange Mentorship Program awards for summer 2025. As in past years, five highly meritorious program participants were further selected to receive $2,500 stipends from AFPE. The Research Exchange Mentorship program supports student pharmacists as they pursue research with host mentors outside of their home institutions. The scholarship recipients for 2025 are:

The SAS Research Exchange Mentorship Program is intended to foster interest in research and SAS-related graduate education among student pharmacists. The program is open to P1-P3 students, who complete a research experience with a SAS faculty member outside their home institution, building their professional network and skills for residency, fellowship, and further graduate studies.
Now in its ninth year, the program provides student pharmacists an opportunity to participate in summer research projects. Each year, participants are selected and matched with host mentors through a competitive process. More than 100 students have been paired with mentors since the program began, and many student-mentor pairs have successfully completed research projects resulting in conference presentations and published journal articles. The summer 2025 cohort will have 26 student pharmacists working with 15 mentors at 14 institutions.
