This session is designed to review critical thinking instruction and assessment as it applies to pharmacy education. We will delve into the importance of critical thinking skills in our learners as the profession continues to evolve. This webinar will explore practical strategies on how to foster critical thinking skills in students and how to measure the outcome in the didactic curriculum. Additionally, this session will discuss barriers to implementation and strategies to overcome them. 

Objectives:

  • Define critical thinking and identify key components of critical thinking
  • Discuss the necessity of critical thinking skills and metacognition as the profession continues to evolve
  • Explore pedagogical approaches and instructional methods used by pharmacy educators to integrate critical thinking skills
  • Identify assessment tools and techniques for measuring critical thinking skill development
