Integrating Students Into Research

Scholarship is an integral component of academia and a requirement of promotion and tenure. Research skills and interest are highly sought attributes in post-graduate training for students. However, students often have little-to-no research experience before matriculating to pharmacy school.

Objectives:

  • Identify opportunities to integrate students into research projects
  • Review challenges and pitfalls associated with incorporating students into research projects
  • Evaluate strategies to optimize student experiences through scholarship dissemination, skill building, and mentorship
