This webinar will explore what non-promotable tasks (NPTs) are in academia and why we often take them on, even when they do not contribute to career advancement. Participants will be guided to reflect on their values, personal mission statement, promotion and tenure documents, and task lists to assess whether their work aligns with their professional growth. Panelists will share personal stories and perspectives on NPTs, with a focus on strategies for transforming these tasks into promotable opportunities at both the departmental and institutional levels.
