Mentoring Mantra: Providing Efficient Mentoring and Supporting Faculty Success

The webinar will be divided into five sections. Section one will provide an overview of the webinar's goals and objectives, and introduce the topic and speakers. The second section will discuss the importance of effective mentoring and share successful mentoring relationships. Section three will focus on building and maintaining effective mentoring relationships, and section four will cover setting clear and achievable goals and providing constructive feedback. Finally, section five will be about evaluating progress, celebrating achievements, and answering common questions about effective mentoring.

Objectives:

  1. Enable participants to have a better understanding of effective mentoring practices.
  2. Provide practical strategies and tools to enhance faculty mentors' mentoring skills and build stronger connections with mentees.
  3. Guide the development of effective mentoring relationships, setting goals, providing feedback, and evaluating progress.
  4. Equip participants with practical strategies to support the professional development of their mentees.
