Incorporating Yoga Practice and Principles for Students, Faculty and Staff

Yoga is an ancient practice that synergizes mind and body. The integration of breath, meditation and asanas (poses) encourages relaxation and stress reduction. This session will engage participants in a workshop approach of how yoga, as a meditative practice, can be integrated within required, elective, and co-curricular initiatives that demonstrate positive student outcomes as it relates to well-being and resilience.

  1. Explore diverse approaches that integrate yoga philosophy and practice within Pharm.D. curricula
  2. Discuss opportunities and challenges which includes assessment of integrated yoga principles and practice
  3. Create an action plan for integrating yoga within home institution as well as community partnerships to foster well-being and resilience
