Pivot! Leading Change Through Changing Times

October 29, 2026
1:00-2:00 p.m. ET

Hosted by the Leadership Development SIG

Change in pharmacy education rarely arrives on schedule. Curricula get rebuilt, budgets tighten, enrollment shifts, and AI shows up in the classroom before anyone has written a policy for it, often all at once. This session is a conversation about what it actually takes to lead through that: stretching limited resources without letting quality slip, building buy in when change arrives suddenly and not everyone is on board, making sense of what AI is really doing inside our programs, and looking honestly at where the opportunities are for our profession right now. Come with a change you are currently navigating, and you will leave with ideas from colleagues and a clearer sense of what to try next.

Objectives:

  • Hear how other programs are stretching limited resources, and where cross departmental partnerships can work.
  • Explore what builds buy in from colleagues when change arrives without warning.
  • Gain a clearer picture of how AI is being used in pharmacy programs, including the unexpected challenges along with the wins.
  • Consider where real opportunities exist for the profession in the current healthcare landscape.
