Instructions for Claiming CPE Credit for Recorded Webinar:

Please go to the Learning Express CE (LECE) site and click the “Distance” tab.  Select the "The Entrustable Professional Activities (EPAs) for New Pharmacy Graduates" link and click the “Purchase Now” button. Login to LECE if you are a registered user or create your account if you are a new user. Verify that your NABP e-Profile ID and birthdate are correctly entered in your LECE profile and correspond with your NABP record. Confirm your selection and enter the promotional code in the “Coupon” box. (AACP members should go to AACP Connect to obtain the promotional code). Click the “Register” button to apply the code. If you are a non-member, please enter your payment details and click the Register button. After you have successfully registered for the program, you will be able to view the recorded webinar. In order to obtain CPE credit, you must view the webinar in its entirety, complete the post-assessment and evaluation. Note, you will be able to retake the assessment if you do not achieve a score of 80% or higher. Pharmacists must complete all the required components by June 20, 2022 in order to obtain credit. CPE credit information will be transmitted to NABP and ACPE. Pharmacists should log in to their NABP e-profile to access information about their completed CPE and to print a valid statement of credit if needed.

Description:

The Pharmacists’ Patient Care Process was developed after the CAPE 2013 Outcomes, the EPAs for New Pharmacy Graduates operationalize the CAPE 2013 Outcomes into discrete tasks that can be measured. Demonstration of the EPAs for New Pharmacy Graduates requires a pharmacist to integrate multiple competencies from several CAPE domains. The 2017 AACP Academic Affairs Committee mapped the relationships between core EPAs for New Pharmacy Graduates, The Pharmacists’ Patient Care Process, and the CAPE 2013 Educational Outcomes. 

Target Audience:

This webinar is designed for all pharmacists and pharmacy educators.

Learning Objectives:

At the completion of this webinar, participants will be able to:

  1. Analyze the relationship between the CAPE 2013 Outcomes, PPCP, and EPAs for New Pharmacy Graduates.
  2. Relate the mapping of the CAPE 2013 Outcomes, PPCP, and EPAs for New Pharmacy Graduates developed by the 2017 AACP Academic Affairs Standing Committee.
  3. Outline considerations for faculty and preceptors to incorporate the EPAs for New Pharmacy Graduates as an evaluation tool into pharmacy school curricula and pharmacy practice experiences.

The Relating the CAPE 2013 Outcomes, PPCP, and EPAs All Together Webinar (UAN: 0581-0000-19-019-L04-P and 0581-0000-19-019-H04-P) is designed as a knowledge-based CPE activity and is approved for 0.50 hour of continuing pharmacy education credit (0.050 CEU). To obtain CPE credit for the live webinar, pharmacists must attend the webinar on June 20, 2019, register, complete and submit the CE session evaluation for the webinar by accessing the online AACP Continuing Education Administration software program, Learning Express CE. The deadline to complete the evaluation to obtain CPE credit for the live webinar is July 20, 2019.

Pharmacists who wish to complete the webinar as a home study CE, must register, view the webinar in its entirety, complete a post-assessment and evaluation via Learning Express CE before the CE expiration date of June 20, 2022.  A passing score of 80% or higher on the post-assessment is required to obtain CPE credit.

Hardware/Software Requirments:

The webinar series is being conducted through the GoToWebinar Platform. Access to GoToWebinar is necessary to participate in the live version of the Webinar. Additionally, participants will need a working internet connection, (a web browser such Firefox or Chrome is required for the live version, Internet Explorer V11 is acceptable for the recorded version) speakers/headphones for audio capability, and Adobe Reader to open select pdf files. Fees:

This series comes at no charge to AACP Members (Live or Recorded). Non-Members will be charged a nominal fee of $10 for access to the recorded webinar(s) and its associated continuing education (CE) credit(s).
