Preceptor of the Year

Pharmacists in white coats

AACP has launched a search for 2023 Preceptors of the Year identified by colleges and schools of pharmacy, who will receive a 2-year complimentary AACP individual affiliate membership beginning January 2024. Our goal is to provide programming, resources and tools that will enhance the professional development of adjunct/affiliate preceptors who are key members of the educational and patient care team. This is the fifth year of this program.

Benefits to the Preceptors include:

  • The ability to network with other adjunct/affiliate preceptors across the nation via AACP Connect, the members-only online engagement platform;
  • Access to programming, resources and tools developed specifically for the preceptor educational responsibilities;
  • AACP member rate for all AACP-programs, including the Interim and Annual Meetings; and
  • Access to the latest information pertaining to teaching, practice and research in academic pharmacy via Academic Pharmacy Now, the American Journal of Pharmaceutical Education and other AACP resources.

AACP defines adjunct/affiliate preceptors as those who are neither full-time employees at a college or school of pharmacy nor have a primary employment commitment (receiving 50% or more of their salary) from a college or school of pharmacy.

Schools can identify up to 3 adjunct/affiliate preceptors to be eligible for the 2-year complimentary membership. Please use this online submission form to provide AACP with the contact information for your 2023 Preceptor(s) of the Year. AACP requests that one member of the Experiential Education Department completes the online submission form in order to reduce multiple submissions from an institution.

The submission period for 2023 has closed.
