Medical Billing Practice Advancement Collaborative & Teaching (MPACT) Networking Series
Building upon the foundations established during the Medical Billing 101 (2024) and Medical Billing 201 (2026) virtual workshops, this year-long networking and strategy series with quarterly gatherings is designed to support pharmacy educators with active curricular implementation. As pharmacy practice rapidly evolves beyond traditional dispensing toward comprehensive clinical service delivery, equipping student pharmacists with skills in medical billing, documentation, credentialing, and contracting is essential.
This series provides a collaborative infrastructure for faculty nationwide to share ready-to-use educational toolkits, peer-review instructional materials, and brainstorm strategies to overcome hurdles. Faculty will work together to ensure PharmD graduates are practice-ready, with foundational competencies in medical billing and the broader practice management ecosystem required to sustain and advance patient care services.

Objectives
- Collaborate within a structured Community of Learning to share, peer-review, and synchronize instructional strategies for teaching medical billing and practice management.
- Utilize and adapt crowd-sourced educational toolkits and scaffolded curricular materials designed to minimize implementation barriers and simplify complex business concepts (e.g., E/M coding, credentialing, and payer contracting).
- Champion the integration of medical billing within the "practice management ecosystem" as an essential, foundational element within their respective institutional PharmD curricula.
- Refine individual institutional implementation plans using peer feedback and shared best practices to ensure sustainable, high-impact medical billing education.
