AACP is excited to launch a new Membership Ambassador program to promote membership engagement to new faculty and professional staff at schools and colleges of pharmacy. Membership Ambassadors will serve as an on-the-ground resource for new AACP members, which includes providing information on AACP meetings, publications and professional development opportunities.
Membership Ambassadors will be recognized for their service to AACP and to the Academy. Please see below for additional information on the AACP Membership Ambassador program, including goals and expectations for ambassadors. If you are interested in taking part in AACP’s Membership Ambassador program, please complete the following application form.

What is the goal of the AACP Membership Ambassador Program?
To increase and improve the level of AACP member engagement, especially among the new AACP members who entered during the Open Membership process. Membership engagement will be identified and measured each year (each July/August) before the launch of the program for the next academic year. The Inaugural cohort of the AACP Membership Ambassador Program will have a 16-month commitment (from April 2026 through August 2027).
Membership Ambassadors should be willing to:
- Advise and answer questions about AACP and its offerings for personal and professional development.
- Amplify key AACP messages and member opportunities.
- Communicate with AACP members to encourage and empower them to become engaged with AACP, and to identify their top needs from AACP.
- Promote their AACP member journey and experiences as an engaged AACP member.
AACP Membership Ambassadors would provide a constant resource for AACP members at colleges and schools of pharmacy. The member ambassadors can actively provide AACP organizational information, offerings, and opportunities and can also give information back to AACP regarding resources, concerns, and needs of current AACP members.
Who should be an AACP Membership Ambassador:
A current individual member who:
- was an AACP Individual Member prior to the Open Membership Model adopted by the organization in January 2025 (e.g., a previous AACP Individual Member);
- has taken advantage of one or more AACP member benefits; and
- desires to share their membership journey and the organization benefits with other AACP members, including those new to AACP
What are the expectations of the AACP Membership Ambassadors?
The program will include AACP members who are willing to provide their time for the program goals (estimated at 1-2 hours a month). The expectations are:
- Attend a virtual orientation session explaining the program and AACP member benefits
- Provide AACP updates during appropriate college or schools of pharmacy events (e.g., faculty and staff meetings/events)
- Be proactive in discussing AACP opportunities within their college or schools of pharmacy
- Provide AACP with feedback regarding their experiences and the concerns/needs of AACP members
- Respond to membership ambassador surveys regarding this volunteer role and influence with AACP members
How will the AACP Membership Ambassadors be recognized?
- The opportunity to contribute to service for their national organization and their individual college or school of pharmacy (e.g., put on resume and/or C.V. for promotion)
- Virtual badge provided by AACP
- Special ribbon at the AACP Annual Meeting
- Recognition by AACP (e.g., webpage highlighting the program and the ambassadors, Ambassador spotlight feature on AACP Connect, special networking session at the AACP Annual Meeting)
- Periodic opportunities to network with other membership ambassadors (e.g., virtually or during AACP in-person meetings)
