This session equips pharmacy educators with practical strategies to integrate artificial intelligence, digital health, and informatics competencies into the PharmD curriculum using scalable, learner-centered curricular models from Belmont University and UCSF. The session emphasizes preparing student pharmacists for data-informed, AI-enabled healthcare practice through longitudinal curriculum design, interactive activities, and alignment with ACPE 2025 and COEPA 2023 outcomes.
Objectives:
- Describe evidence-based strategies for integrating digital health, informatics, and artificial intelligence competencies into PharmD curricula aligned with ACPE Standards 2025 and COEPA 2023 outcomes.
- Apply Belmont University’s “Spiral Curriculum” framework and UCSF’s modular-based instructional model to support longitudinal and modular integration of AI-enabled learning within pharmacy education.
- Design learner-centered educational activities and assessments that foster digital fluency, ethical AI use, and data-informed decision-making skills among student pharmacists.
