Artificial intelligence is reshaping pharmacy education beyond case creation and clinical reasoning. This session equips pharmacy educators and practitioners with strategies to integrate AI into didactic, experiential, and co-curricular activities—strengthening instructional design and feedback, supporting self-reflection and identity formation, enhancing health information delivery and accessibility, advancing product development for pharmacy services, and fostering collaboration and digital professionalism. Participants will engage in guided activities that promote self-reflection and leave with adaptable tools for preparing practice-ready pharmacists.
Objectives:
- Examine the role of artificial intelligence in teaching professional development and continuing education to student pharmacists aligned with Curricular Outcomes and Entrustable Professional Activities (COEPA).
- Assess opportunities and challenges related to academic integrity, digital ethics, professionalism, and equity.
- Evaluate potential applications for enhancing pharmacy services, health information delivery, and interprofessional collaboration.
- Design one AI-informed instructional or professional development strategy aligned with COEPA and relevant to teaching, experiential learning, or professional practice settings.
