Despite diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives at higher education institutions across the United States, research has demonstrated that men and women continue to face different barriers to advancement in academic pharmacy. Additionally, anecdotal evidence suggests that gender gaps persist in academia. The goal of this program is to describe findings from a survey of and semi-structured interviews with members of the American Pharmacist Association’s Academy of Pharmaceutical Research and Science Economic, Social and Administrative Science and the American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy’s Social and Administrative Sciences section.
