Mapping Your Path for Lifelong Learning: CPD for CE Professionals

As part of a series of educational sessions on CPD as a means of professional development in academic pharmacy, this webinar is intended to bring together CE professionals from colleges/schools of pharmacy to explore developmental opportunities and strategies to enhance their programs in the context of national learning competencies. During the session, participants will identify next steps in their CPD journey with an intent toward engagement in an ongoing learning community.

Objectives:

  1. Describe the composition and contributions of academic continuing education (CE) departments in supporting lifelong learning in pharmacy practice.
  2. Discuss competency domains and associated behaviors for CE professionals.
  3. Identify approaches to augment traditional academic CE departments with innovative business strategies. 
  4. Outline resources and opportunities to support the professional development of CE professionals in academia, including avenues for ongoing collaboration and community.
