Administrative and Financial Officers SIG Program

Fee: $350; $300 with full conference registration. Pre-registration required; registration includes lunch and Saturday’s AFO-SIG programming.

The Administrative and Financial Officers (AFO) SIG program is designed for administrative and financial officers, as well as other AACP participants interested in key administrative, financial, and leadership issues that influence the operations of colleges of pharmacy. This program will provide participants the opportunity to engage in meaningful discussions regarding creative partnerships, fiscal operations, and other areas of responsibility within the Finance and Administration role, as well as hot topics in the world of finance and operations.

Fee: $475; $425 with full conference registration. Registration includes select meals and refreshments, as outlined in the conference schedule. Pre-registration is recommended.

Please join us for the 2026 AACP Admissions Workshop in Grapevine, Texas! We invite all administrators, faculty, and staff who play a role in recruitment, admissions, retention, and student affairs to this two-day event. The goal of the Workshop is to provide attendees with the opportunity to learn and network, so the academy can collectively promote the profession and respond to challenges facing pharmacy education. Session topics will include addressing financial barriers to pharmacy education through creative approaches to affordability, financial literacy, and cross-campus partnerships; enhancing the interview experience by reimagining interview formats, assessment methods, and holistic practices; and advancing recruitment strategies that strengthen connections with prospective students, families, advisors, and communities. The workshop will also feature interactive case studies on unique admissions challenges offering participants the opportunity to exchange insights and develop effective strategies through dialogue and shared problem-solving. Teachers' Seminar: Simplifying Teaching to Restore Joy

Fee: $399; $299 with full conference registration; Students $149; registration includes continental breakfast and lunch.

Saturday, July 18 7:45 a.m. -3:30 p.m.

Description This day-long seminar invites educators to strip away the clutter and rediscover the simplicity and joy of teaching. The day will feature engaging speakers and interactive activities designed to help educators enjoy teaching more while keeping it simple and fulfilling. Sessions will emphasize practical takeaways, highlight actions within faculty control, and provide relevance across all teaching formats and career stages—helping participants create more space for passion and enjoyment in their role as educators.

The objectives of the seminar are to help participants:

  • Reconnect with personal purpose by reflecting on what first drew them to teaching and rediscovering the joy and meaning at the heart of their work.
  • Rediscover the fun of teaching by exploring approaches that spark creativity, laughter, and genuine enjoyment in the classroom.
  • Streamline and simplify teaching practices by focusing on what truly matters, reducing administrative burden, cutting unnecessary complexity, and adapting in ways that sustain fulfillment and resilience.

AACP Navigating Modern Approaches (NMA) in Self-Care Education, Community Practice and Beyond Workshop

Friday, July 17 and Saturday, July 18
Fee: $199 Early-bird and $249 regular rate

This one-day workshop, immediately preceding the 2026 AACP Annual Meeting, aims to engage educators with interest in self-care therapeutics, outpatient pharmacy practice, and/or public health. As the self-care industry continues to rapidly evolve, pharmacists are well positioned to grow and advance patient care services that support public health, combat misinformation, and empower patients to make informed self-care decisions. These services impact public health and align with patient outcomes to improve health. The workshop will bridge pharmacy education and practice by covering educational topics in self-care and community practice to advance the pharmacist’s role in outpatient practice. Sessions will highlight emerging clinical topics, industry trends, including the ever-expanding self-care market. Innovative teaching strategies will be shared that can be utilized to teach self-care therapeutics, community pharmacy practice, and public health content. Additionally, the workshop will provide networking opportunities to bridge educators across practice settings and defined areas of interest and teaching. The workshop will also provide opportunities to engage in and share scholarly efforts.

The NMA pre-session will provide opportunities for faculty and preceptors across an expanse of practice areas who incorporate self-care in didactic, practice labs, and introductory and advanced practice experiences to be a part of an amazing collaborative to advance the education we provide to our students who ultimately impact the lives of thousands of patients. Faculty that participates in NMA can attest to the partnerships, friendships and networking that have had such impacts on our careers.
