With the rise of PharmD professionals seeking employment outside of traditional pharmacy settings, the pharmaceutical industry continues to highlight the need for pharmacists in this field. During this webinar, the Accreditation Council for Medical Affairs (ACMA) will share details on the increased demand of pharmacists in the pharmaceutical industry. This webinar will also review how to adequately prepare student pharmacists for exposure and education on the pharmaceutical industry.
Objectives
- Discuss the opportunities for pharmacists and PharmD candidates in the pharmaceutical industry.
- Compare the change over time between pharmaceutical sales representatives and Medical Science Liaisons (MSLs).
- Explain the current resources available to pharmacy school administrators, faculty, and staff to increase pharmaceutical industry education and exposure for student pharmacists interested in industry roles.
