2:00 p.m.–3:00 p.m. ET

Hosted by the Pediatric Pharmacy SIG

This session will focus on a systematic approach to determining what practicing pharmacists need to know to participate confidently and safely in the care of pediatric patients. The speaker will present a multihospital health system's content targeted for practicing pharmacists based on their scopes of service. Come learn how this program was received by both the learners and the leaders in this pharmacy program. Consider how potential curricular gaps can be addressed during didactic pharmacy education to better prepare our graduates to be practice-ready for pediatric patients.

  1. Discuss methods for determining essential pediatric pharmacy knowledge based on pharmacist practice site and previous experience.
  2. Create a needs assessment tool to determine foundational knowledge in pediatric pharmacy.
