Managing the Many Psychological Challenges of COVID-19: A Focus on Recovery

In this Webinar, Dr. Sbarra will discuss the many psychological challenges COVID-19 posed for higher education and, in particular, for higher education faculty. He will discuss contemporary ideas in stress management and the role of affective science in understanding how we can recover and re-engage in life following the "great pause" of 2020. 

Objectives:

  1. Following this talk, participants will be develop a basic understanding of the psychological challenges presented by the COVID-19 pandemic, and the ways in this these challenges have unfolded in higher education.
  2. Participants will develop an understanding of (1) the key elements of effective stress management, and (2) ways to implement those strategies in their day-to-day lives.
