A vibrant and thriving organization needs an energized, committed, and diverse group of people who support its mission. Nominating Committees play a critical role in identifying and cultivating the leaders who move our organization forward. This session will examine how to conduct the nominations process to attract a large pool of potential candidates as well as best practice considerations when slating a ballot. Current Nominating Committee Chairs and members are strongly encouraged to attend this webinar … but anyone interested in serving in this vital role in the future is invited!

Objectives:

  1. State why cultivating a diverse leadership pipeline is important to AACP and how well we are currently achieving our ideals.
  2. Implement a process for identifying and attracting a large pool of candidates for elected leadership in AACP SIGs, Sections, and Councils.
  3. Put together a slate of qualified candidates for elected offices that enhances the diversity of AACP’s leadership pipeline.
