Skills Lab Coordination: Tips from the Trenches

This webinar will discuss various aspects of skills lab coordination. This includes the role of the coordinator and facilitators, aligning labs with concurrent courses, examples of how specific labs operate, and methods to standardize grading among graders. We’ll also share some tips and tricks for lab coordination based on our experiences.

Objectives:

  1. Describe the role of the skills lab coordinator
  2. Review a typical lab day including integration with concurrent courses 
  3. Identify the role of facilitators and describe methods to onboard facilitators 
  4. Describe approaches to help standardize grading of complex assessments, such as SOAP notes and patient case presentations
