AACP Joins Pharmacy Associations to Offer Condolences to Families of Pharmacist and Two Others Killed in Maryland

Arlington, VA - The American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy joined with the leaders and members of 16 other pharmacy organizations to extend our deepest condolences to the families of Brian and Kelly Robinette, of  Ellicott City, Md., and Rebecca Reynolds of Cumberland, Md. Police say Mr. Robinette, a community pharmacist, was killed by a sibling who was upset that Mr. Robinette was administering COVID-19 vaccines.

Pharmacy Education 2021 Call for Special-Session Proposals

The Annual Meeting provides opportunities for Academy members to present and network during plenary sessions, special, mini, and micro-sessions, topical roundtables, poster presentations and in the exhibit hall. AACP Members are invited to submit proposals for Special Sessions (60-minutes, maximum 5 speakers) on topics broadly applicable to contemporary pharmacy education. Proposals including perspectives from more than one institution are encouraged for 60-minute special session submissions.

The Annual Meeting provides opportunities for Academy members to present and network during plenary sessions, special, mini, and micro-sessions, topical roundtables, poster presentations and in the exhibit hall. AACP members are invited to submit proposals for Mini-Sessions (30-minutes, maximum 2 speakers) on topics broadly applicable to contemporary pharmacy education. Proposals, including innovations developed at one school, are appropriate for the 30-minute mini-session or micro-session.

AACP Announces Search for Executive Vice President and CEO

The Board of Directors of the American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy announced that the search for the organization’s seventh Executive Vice President and Chief Executive Officer has begun. This comes with the announcement that current CEO, Dr. Lucinda Maine, will complete her service to the Association on June 30, 2022 and not seek a new contract. Dr. Maine assumed her current role on July 1, 2002.
